Description

This Astrobin Debut Object is a group of 4 galaxies located in the constellation of Pisces at a declination of +7 degrees.  The galaxies, 1 elliptical and 3 spirals, are all at slightly different distances from us, ranging from 130 to 230 million light years away. I don't see any visual clues of disturbance in any of these galaxies.

NGC 7562 is the brightest and largest galaxy here and is located 190 million light years away.  It is a magnitude 12 oblong (E4) elliptical galaxy which spans 2.5 arc-minutes in our apparent view.  This corresponds to a diameter of 140,000 light years.

I imaged this galaxy group because a 1996 paper discussed the dicovery of faint outer shells in NGC 7562.  However, I don't see any indications of these outer shells in my image.
